PC Planner
Summary:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Maintain currency and adherence to AS9100 procedures as they apply to production scheduling.


  • Coordinate Shear (pre-kitting) and kitting process so jobs launch on-time to job start dates.


  • Formally recommit ship dates to Customer Service and Master Scheduler when jobs are expected to miss original scheduled completion date.


  • Perform root-cause analysis for missing original scheduled job completion dates and implement corrective actions (routing changes, material lead time changes, etc.) to BOMs/routings so future planned scheduled dates are achievable.


  • Ensure that an effective root-cause and corrective action process is in place to continuously reduce missed scheduling commitments and improve customer on-time delivery.





  • Release initial routers to the floor.


  • Ensure that production schedules integrate the contiguous schedule requirements for all scheduled resources (e.g. Presses, CNC Lathes, CNC Milling Centers, Purchasing, Kitting, Inspections) and that regular dispatch reviews ensure on-time production completion to schedule or accurate recommitted ship dates to customers.


  • Continuously review opportunities for Engineering, Sales, Finance, Planning and Production to mutually exploit integrated ERP solutions to improve capacity requirements planning, scheduling adjustments and coordinated communication of schedules.



QUALIFICATIONS:
Skills:


  • Ability to perform fact-based analysis and produce corrective actions.





  • Ability to resolve complex scheduling constraints with team consensus.





  • Demonstrated history with ERP automation of capacity and material requirements planning.


  • Demonstrated history using Microsoft Office solutions for communication and analysis.


  • Effective interpersonal skills and personal initiative.



Education and/or Experience


  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience


  • CPIM (APICS)


  • 2-5 years planning experience


  • Manufacturing traceability experience





 

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
