Project Manager

Are you a proactive leader that thrives at driving projects forward in a fast-paced environment? The Provident Bank is currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to assist with implementing a new project management function to manage key projects for the bank. Under the direction and supervision of the VP of Project Management, the position is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, execution, control and completion of projects.
Project Manager Role & Responsibilities:
Assisting with the creation and implementation of a new project management
Department. Including but not limited to: Evangelist/trainer for the project management
processes, and point of contact for questions related to project management
Collaborate with team leaders and stakeholders to define project scope, identify business
requirements, develop project plans and identify project success criteria
Manage project team performance to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and
within budget
Proactively monitor each projects overall progress, resolve issues, identify and mitigate risks
Facilitate project meetings and publish meeting minutes
Develop and deliver verbal and written progress reports and presentations to varying levels of
management and project stakeholders
Desired Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management or related field preferred
3+ years' of Project Management experience
Project management certification desired (PMI or Prince2)
Familiarity with Lean Management practices a plus; experience in banking or financial services a
plus but not required
Strong knowledge of Project Management scheduling processes and tools (work breakdown
Structure, project plans, issue & risk management matrices, etc.)
Proven ability to manage multiple projects of varying complexity, to anticipate needs and adjust to
Shifting priorities, and to meet simultaneous and sometimes competing timelines.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving initiative and capabilities
Proven leadership with ability to motivate and inspire others
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including a background creating high level
reports and correspondence for senior leaders
Proficiency with common business applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and
Visio)
Experience with Smart Sheet, MS Project or similar tools required
This is a full time position from 8:30am-5pm located in our Amesbury, MA office.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
